The Research Of Modifying Software Based On The IBIS Model

As a common simulation model of chip, IBIS model depicts only the external characteristics of the device, does not involve the internal details .Because of this, IBIS model has been developing widely.IBIS model modifying software described in this paper can correct the raw IBIS model precisely. By controlling the effecting factors(for example, topology extraction of PCB files ),classifying multi-factors into one single factor, and basing on test results and certain modifying arithmetic ,this software modifies IBIS model to obtain the available"golden model", thus ensuring the success rate of re-plate to reduce the cost of additional repeat plate.This software is imbedded in Cadence software, by intuitive and concise operating interface, it can read various test data formats and compare them with simulated data, and by means of model fine adjustment based on parametric.It includes several modules: data inputting and processing module,waveforms displaying module,model modifying module,output module,interface module .At present, by verifying and testing, the design and development of this software have already achieved the desired objective.
