Design And Implementation Of Mobile Email Module Based On QUALCOMM BREW Platform

With the enhancement of mobile phone function, mobile phones have become the most important communication equipment in our daily life. Except the basic communication function such as making calls, sending and receiving short messages, the service of sending and receiving Email has become another important function of mobile phones. Almost all the cell phone makers produce the mobile phone with the same function, but the designs of User Interface of the phone are quite different from each other. The phone which has a good User Interface will be easer for the user to accept. As a result, the design of the User Interface has become the most competitive field in mobile phone manufacturer.This thesis introduces the QUALCOMM BREW Platform, and makes the requirement analysis to the overall framework of Email User Interface module, and then design and implements the cell phone Email User Interface module. The work which the author mainly does is as follows: First, encapsulated the staticwidget and extended its function, accomplished the Email Inbox module; Second, designed the Email Attachments, accomplished the Email Outbox module; Third, on the base of study some kinds of containers, accomplished the Email Setup Wizard module which used the features of CardContainer. The design of this module fully considered the reusability, portability and maintainability of the code.After completed the whole module, on the simulator provided by QUALCOMM BREW Platform, the author makes some tests to this module, and the results of the tests indicate that the entire module is reliable, portability. The module achieved the desired results.
