Research And Implementation Of Distributed Image Fusion System

The image fusion is an important branch of multi-sensor information fusion. It is a combination of sensors, image processing, signal processing, artificial intelligence technologies, has been widely used in automatic target recognition, computer vision, remote sensing, military, transportation, medicine imagery processing, biology obtained and other fields. With the ceaseless rising of the resolution of images be obtained, the improvement of the speed of image fusion is getting higher and higher requirements. The traditional method of serial integration processing method can not meet the demand for this kind of computing, distributed parallel processing system is one of the important technical means to solve this problem.The paper first systematically introduced the principle, applications, development status, etc of image fusion. Then, base on in-depth study of the CORBA distributed object technology, a few important concepts to a detailed description of the CORBA technology and the advantages of agent technology combination is described. Finally, the use of distributed parallel processing system to resolve the large amount of data required and difficult to meet the requirements of real-time project application of multiple parallel image fusion algorithm, which must be handled, has been in-depth researched and practical worked. As result, a distributed parallel image fusion prototype system based on CORBA technology and agent technology has been given, and the design and implementation process of the system has been System described in this paper. The system is easy to deploy, easy to maintain and integration. Experiments show that the system has a good time characteristics in multi-algorithms parallel image fusion process.
