In this paper, we widely survey the development of electronic endoscope, aiming at the current situation of the demand of medical electronic endoscope to image quality is more higher, a solution of embedded endoscope high definition video processing system based on FPGA+dual DSPs was proposed. FPGA was applied to preprocess the video image collected and displayed, and dual DSPs based on DaVinci-HD were applied parallel to high definition video H.264 High-Profile real-time encoding/decoding, then PowerPC embedded processor was applied to the system management, hard disk storage and network transmission. Performance test results show that, the resolution of the system is 1080i60, and the support of H.264 High-Profile has good performance.The whole design flow includes:functional specification definition, general structure design, system realization, PCB design and system debugging.Chapter 1 introduces the back ground and current status of Endoscope system and high-definition standard, gives a general description of the subject.Chapter 2 discusses functional specification definition and general structure design.Chapter 3 discusses the realization of the system.Chapter 4 discusses PCB layout and system debugging.Chapter 5 concludes the research works of the dissertation, and gives the prospect of further research work.
