For any enterprise, the product models and related knowledge are one of the most important asset. With the process of globalization and advances in technology, the proliferation of collaborative product design project is also set a higher requirement on reuse technology of the the product models. The problem of heterogeneity of knowledge representation and data structure of product models also increasingly prominent. This paper concerned the semantic web-based product structure model of reuse issues under collaborative environment, the main work is as follows:The background were discussed in the first chapter, the problem to be solved is proposed, and introduced into the concept of ontology and the semantic web, introduced the development of product structure modeling and related fields, gived the general framework of research.Chapter two proposed the semantic web-based product structure modeling technology. For the purpose of reusing of the heterogeneous product models, we must first provide a unified modeling technology. In this paper, the structure of the layered product information is established, then OWL ontology classes are established and connected with each other though semantic relations into the semantic-web model. Compared with similar studies, the semantic web-based product structure model not only has adequate expression ability, also has good scalability, as the follow-up study provides a theoretical basis.Chapter three proposed the product structure model transformation based on semantic web. This chapter analyzes the core of heterogeneity problems, the flaws of commercial CAD softwares, and the limitations of data conversion specifications such as STEP, then proposed model transformation based on semantic web. Through the OWL ontology and semantic web-based product structure model, the heterogeneous model could be transformated and expressed. This technology not only retains the original features of models, and can adapt to the new modeling platform for encoding and express their needs, to meet the accuracy and real-time demand of the model conversion.Chapter four proposed the product structure model searching based on semantic web. Search for the cure of heterogeneity, accuracy and relevance in model searching, proposed model searching based on semantic web. Through parsing the query by the designers to get a set of search requirements, matching and obtaining the corresponding product model, and set the user access to the product model related information. Chapter five proposed the interaction technology based on semantic web. Interaction is both a necessary collaborative design needs and a knowledge effective reuse means. For tackling the defects of traditional interaction, this paper presents the interaction based on semantic web. Semantic web-based interaction technique by layering technology to ensure the efficiency of conversion, through the coordination of concurrent control the possible conflict.Chapter Six describes the development platform and related instances of semantic web-based product structure model reuse technology. With the operation of elevator and elevator guide rail model, the semantic web-based product structure model is re-verified to illustrate the usage, practicality and effectiveness of the technology.
