With the rapid development of Wireless Mobile Network(WMN), especially the large increase of data tansmission speed, it is possible to make the high quality of image, video, audio and 3D graphics transmit on the WMN. Currently, under the WMN, more and more attentions are gained to plentiful of 3D graphics applications, such as mobile three-dimensional digital entertainment, mobile three-dimensional virtual display and roaming, mobile augmented reality systems, based on the handheld mobile devices. We have found that high expectations are needed to realtime and robustly transfer 3D graphics data on the platform of WMN.This article, which focuses on the characteristics of wireless networks and mobile devices, carried out some related works. The main contributions of this thesis are presented as follows:1) An adaptive algorithm of 3D models transmission based on IEEE02.11b is proposed. Before 3D models transmission, a model simplification algorithm based on curvature changes is introduced to reduce the data during transmission, due to the features of low resolution, weak computation ability and small memory. And then, because of the packet loss phenomenon happened, including random errors and burst errors,6during the network transmission, we give an adaptive FEC algorithm through BER by dynamically adjusting the proportion of source and redundant data. Experimental results show that the algorithm can improve the quality of three-dimensional models tranferred to terminals and achieve better visual effects.2) The method of 3D models transmission based on energy consumption model under wireless network is introduced. In the wireless networks environment, due to the factors of limited network bandwidth, noise and mobile terminals, such as limited battery power, it is difficult to effectively transfer 3D graphics data over wireless network. An improved energy model used for mobile terminals is proposed when considering these drawbacks. Based on this kind of energy model, we can optimize the proportion of source and redundant code through the energy RS decoding consumped. Then we can receive the available encoding solution which is adapted to various network conditions. Experimental results show that any type of 3D graphics can be effectively transmitted to mobile terminals in a limited period of time and as a result, better effects.
