The rising complexity of SoC(System on a Chip)posed a great challenge to the traditionalSoC design technology UML-based(Unified Modeling Language)SoC design became currentresearch focus,because of its many advantages But this technology still could not isolatedifferent levels of abstraction model,and could not provide system designers the design spaceexploration platformTo solve the above problem,the dissertation combined with 863 plan major projects"Research on the new-concept ofhigh efficiency computer architecture and application platform"introduced the MDA(Model Driven Architecture)into the UML-based SoC design technology.The dissertation made a specialized research on model-driven SoC design technology,providingstrong support for the realization of the corresponding computer aided design tools The mainw-ork and COntributions were Outlined as follows:1 Aiming at the features of SoC design,the MDA for SoC vcas established Basing on thisarchitecture,a UML based hiberaxchy model for SoC design W'as posed The model providedfour modeling platform that including demand access layer,logic function layer,design spacelayer and designing implemented laye~isolation and packaging changes in four areas In eachdesign level,given corresponding modeling method for constructing UML described systemmodel,and adopted H 264 video encoding&decoding system as design instance to describethese techniques in actual SoC design2 To rule out the impossible design space point by reducing the spatial correlation,aprogressive multi-phase design space exploration method w-as proposed The method dividedfour separate sub-design space:the design choice of hardware and software,the processorprogram selection,the system interconnect and memory sharing structure choice Comparing toimprove relatively mature optimization algorithm,this method achieved greater impactAccording to corresponding feature,various stages of the design space exploration were givenout the way to calculate optimize index and design space exploration method3 In order to accurately assess the delay used by the design space exploration,a timeredundancy based component scheduling algorithm w-as proposed According to componenttemporal redundanc~link temporal redundanc~and system delay increase capacity theorem,thealgorithm dynamic updated system critical path,SO that the needs of important functionalcomponents w-as transacted in time,thus reducing the overall system delay.Comparing totraditional component scheduling algorithm,this algorithm could draw-better schedulingstrategy....
