Abstract/Summary:
Disasters severe environment and complex terrain will bring many potential safety hazard to rescue workers and survivors. Especially in narrow space, rescue workers can hardly therefore, in order to salvage more precious lives and property, we can only search survivors and implement rescue with the help of search and rescue robot. Traditional search and rescue robots are all mechanical robots, limited in their self-structure, their adaptability and flexibility can not compared with living biology. Therefore, combining each kind of modern electronic, mechanical device with living biologics, utilizing the combination of living biology's flexibility and their self-characteristics and modern high technological digital device will become a new approach of new generation intelligent robots.The system is mainly composed of two parts: a hand-held portable controlled devices and a working-dog search and rescue robots unit. The working flow of handheld device which is entirely composed of electronics device, is as follow: video processor processes receiving the incoming video image, utilizing keyboard controlling unit send corresponding processing instructions to the controlling chip, send processing instruction to working dogs via wireless transmission system. Working-dogs equipment is composed by the combination of working-dog and electronic devices, its working flow is as follow: capture live audio and video information by cameras, transmit the data processed by DM642 video to controlling chip, send processed data to handheld device by video system via wireless transmission system, receive the controlling instruction sent by handheld device and transmit to working dog in the form of voice, do the corresponding action according to the received instruction.System no-dead field in-time monitor is realized by the close loop control process between equipment in hand and equipment on the dog. The high efficiency of data transport is promised by COFDM technology in wireless video transport and hardware speed improve based on FFT controller. The design of FFT processor is tested by simulation experiment with MATLAB. The simulation proves the system reliability. The system can satisfy search requirement by real live test.
