Sound source detection and positioning system research has become a hot topic in recent years, with the extensive application of a variety of positioning systems, as well as the requirement in industrial, civil and military fields . The main thought of this article is to create a hardware platform and algorithm model about Source detection Positioning System based on microphone array technology, and to achieve debugging of software and hardware system through the summarized work of our predecessors, the research of passive acoustic detection of space in the microphone array positioning system positioning technology, sound wave arrival time estimation and direction finding, ranging techniques.This paper proposes the using of TI's digital signal processor (DSP) and microprocessor combination of means to achieve the study of the sound source positioning systems for the speed and accuracy requirements of sound source positioning system. To picked up sound signal of array microphone through DSP, and realize algorithm of sound source localization. Due to sp many tasks and amount of large calculate of sound source positioning system, we use DSP of TI6000 series (TMS320F6713) as a platform; with MCU to display the sound source localization results from drive the display device, to exchange data between the DSP and MCU rely on serial communication. In the sound source localization algorithm is mainly based on the delay of the sound source localization algorithm, through the time-delay estimation and sound source location is estimated that two-step calculation of the completion of the sound source localization algorithm.It has important significance to study sound source positioning technology, for it has broad application prospects in the modern field of national defense, the modern voice signal processing and robotics systems. The system has basically completed the three-dimensional sound source location and tracking, verified the feasibility of sound source localization systems engineering through the build of hardware system platform and the implementation software algorithms. Finally, we analyzed the result of the testing and debugging, and presented the focal point of the next research step.
