The Research On Developing Trends & Regulatory Policies Of Voip Services

Nowadays, VoIP services obtain rapid increase worldwide with the development of VoIP technology and the gradual popularization of broadband access. There are no final conclusions about how to regulate the new thing which, to a great extent, substitutes for traditional telephone services. It's still in discussing in many countries'institutions of telecom regulation.At first, this thesis has carried on the comparative analysis of technology, economic factor between VoIP and traditional telephone for probing into the technological advantages of VoIP; Secondly, the thesis has classified the operation modes of VoIP services and analysed them sequentially in order to study the gradual progress of IP network and the law of evolvement of VoIP services; Based on the analysis on VoIP technology and rule of evolvement of VoIP services, the thesis has also analysed in depth the reasons of development of VoIP services and summarized the trends of them; Finally, the thesis has undertaken the research on the regulation policy in VoIP services. This part has mainly analysed the regulations about VoIP services and the problems faced in many countries, and put forward the suggestion that our country should unloosen the regulation step by step, and adopt different policies to different operation modes of VoIP services.The main purpose of this thesis is to cause readers' attention on VoIP, and strengthen the understanding to VoIP through probing into inevitable development trends of VoIP; Secondly, I hope to offer some reference to government regulation of VoIP services in our country by introducing current regulation in foreign countries; In addition, I try to make up the absence of the research of development trends and regulation policies of VoIP services. Up to now, there is little research on this respect is in our country. I hope this thesis can play the pioneering role and be the reference to the later research.
