According to the problems of low efficiency and low reliability in controlling systems for water intake pumping house in campus, this paper designes a remote monitoring system for water intake pumping house based on Atmega16 and FC222-CH. It realizes the functions like the remote control of pump start / stop , the real-time monitor of pump running state and the level of water tank, the fault protection of short circuit, overload, phase failure, overvoltage and undervoltage for water pump motor.Firstly, this paper compares the common methods of wireless data communication and selects the appropriate method of wireless data communication, which aehieves wireless data communication by wireless data radio. This paper also introduces in detail the features, technical indicators, opera- tional principle and parameter settings of wireless data radio FC222-CH.Then the protection principle and protection basis of motor is analysed. Secondly, on the basis of the above principle , the hardware circuits of remote monitoring systems for water intake pumping house are designed. There are some measurements taken in software and hardware for anti-interference. In addition, the software design of monitoring systems has been introduced in detail, and this paper also introduces how to set the parameters and frequency of data radio FC222-CH by the PC software. At last, the stability and reliability of remote monitoring systems for water intake pumping house is verified with a large number of laboratory experiments and field experiments. The experiment results show that the system operates steadily and reliably and it,s performance achieves the prospective design requirements.
