In this paper, from the dual-wavelength laser theory, we added the dual-wavelength laser rate equations, after insert nonlinear crystal into the cavity. Therefore, the LD pumped solid-state continuous-wave (CW) sum frequency rate equations in the four-level system are established. By solving the rate equation, we obtained the laser threshold and the corresponding laser output power and other related parameters.Through using folded cavity, and analyzing the gain properties of two spectral lines in a single laser crystal, optimizing the best coating of the dual-wavelength in the cavity output mirror, and the choice of resonator parameters,593nm CW yellow laser output is achieved.In the paper, the origin of the noise of sum frequency laser is obtained, by observing the noise of sum frequency solid-state lasers, and using Jones matrix and four-level rate equations. Theoretical explanation is also presented. Furthermore, we compared the result with double frequency laser.
