With the development of the network technology and network printer, through the network printing people obtain great convenience, but also faced with more severe security problems. The paper focuses on the domain of network printer security which is still a blank fileld. Through the analysis of network printer security loophole the paper designs a network printing security system to solve the unsafe problems of the existing network printer.The paper firstly analyzes the security vulnerabilities of network printers.In view of these vulnerabilities, with the comparison of several network security technologies, the paper proposes a strategy to solve the network printer security problems and designs a network printing security system. The system encrypts the network printing packet to enhance the security of network printing transmission; embedded firewall is utilized to improve the anti-attack capability of the network printer. Base on these technologies the paper designs and implements the embedded platform of the system. In the embedded platform, Netfilter technology is utilized to achieve the capture of network printing packet, the embedded firewall is implemented by the usage of iptables rules.By testing the platform, the result indicated that the embedded platform has enhanced the network printing transmission security and improved the network printer's anti-attack capability effectively.
