Java smart card is the system constructed based on the hardware system, software components on the card that supports Java Applet download, install and run. At present Java smart card applications are developed on PC. Then the Applet will be complied, download and masked into the card. Since there is a huge performance difference of the hardware between the PC and the smart card, Sometimes the Applet running well on the PC's Simulator, but when it runs on the target platform, the running time become unacceptable. Therefore, knowing the Applet's running time before the masked into the target platform is essential. The contents of this paper is to estimate the Applet's running time when it is running on the target platform on PC platform.This article analyzes Java Classic 3.0 Java virtual machine and the structure of smart card applications, propose a time prediction model. To achieve the measurement of a single Java byte code of the Java run-time script smart card applications, measured by running the script byte code running time; in Java Classic 3.0 virtual machine with statistical byte code is interpreted the number of counters, statistics smart card applications to the Java run-time interpreted in different number of bytes of code. Through these two sets of data, combined with smart card applications expected to run Java time mathematical model of the Java smart card applications running on the target platform of the time. This paper ultimately realized a tool that estimates Java smart card applications running time on the target platform, and it can provide a precise time that estimate of Java smart card applications running on the target platform.
