At present,China has built a radio and television transmission network which has the largest coverage of population. For the analog TV has many users,but has the shortcomings of less programs and signal instability,China plans to achieve a national terrestrial digital TV signal coverage until 2015 and then analog TV will be overall converted to digital television. The location planning of digital TV terrestrial broadcasting stations is an important work of the planning of terrestrial radio and television coverage. Based on the analysis of relevant research results,this paper has an in-depth study in the location planning.Based on the introduction of the current situation of the spatial location and the relevant theories,firstly the paper analyzes the database and site factors. And then it founds the math models of digital TV stations locating,sums up the location problem of point set and problem in polygon areas,and it proposes the stations'location optimization methods based on Voronoi diagram. The method proposes the stations'location algorithm using the hollow circular features of Voronoi,and has the in-depth research in the location optimization and quality assessment. At last,the paper has the experiment of stations'location planning from the different sizes,different regions,different types. This method has effectively solved the problem of location planning and offers the new idea for the large-scale stations'location planning.
