The digital television exciter which is an important component of the radio broadcasting and television system encodes and modulates MPEG2-TS stream. The paper's research about the digital television exciter has a certain practical application value.The paper discusses the principles of digital terrestrial television exciter and designs an executable program to transmit the data stream based on National Standard, "Digital television terrestrial broadcasting transmission system frame structure, channel coding and modulation". According to National Standard, the paper analyzes the various parts of hardware circuit. The system is mainly composed of FPGA unit, IF modulation, radio frequency module, monitoring module.According to the system functional, the FPGA internal logic framework is designed. The design principles of the scrambler (randomization), forward error correction coding (FEC), constellation, symbol interleaving, system information multiplexing, frequency interleaving, the frame volume data processing, synchronized PN head inserting, and the forming roll-off filters is offered. The paper details the algorithm design and design structure of the 3780 point IFFT. The system function is verified by comparing the output of the system modeling using Matlab to simulation results of the Modelsim.
