To achieve intelligence, digitalization and friendly man-machine interface, based on the traditional treadmill, this paper introduces an intelligent, digital control system for treadmill based on embedded technology. The system can steadily control the speed, slope, running state and so on of a treadmill, it also has the such functions as button control, speech control, integrated touch control, human-computer interaction such as TV multimedia signal acquisition, processing, displaying, and even has intelligent perception, intelligent security protection, energy saving control, procedure-oriented mode of health, safety design and so on.Proposed control system consists of five modules, namely, human-computer interaction with the host computer control system, Lower computer microprocessor, sensor detection systems, motor drive system and the implementation of the system. Three-phase AC drive motor selection and the choice was analyzed and explained about program established to host motor sport treadmill model and the load characteristics under typical motion requires.
