In recent years,the incidence rate of depression has increased year by year,and the mental health problems of people with depressive tendency have been gradually paid attention to.For this kind of people,if we do not take timely and effective intervention measures,it is easy to develop into moderate or even severe depression.It is of great significance to study the early intervention of people with depressive tendency for improving their depression and avoiding the aggravation of depression symptoms.The ability of emotion regulation is related to the level of individual depression,and exercise,as a potential method to improve the ability of emotion regulation,can improve the depressive symptoms of this kind of people.However,due to the different physiological responses to exercise,the existing exercise therapy is difficult to meet the individual needs.In addition,patients do not know their physiological state and lack precise control in the exercise process,which makes the intervention effect of exercise not obvious in the short term.To solve the above problems,this paper proposes an exercise feedback method for emotion regulation by combining biofeedback,machine learning,classical control strategy proportionalintegral-derivative control(PID control),and other methods.Based on this method,an exercise feedback system based on the Android platform is implemented.Finally,this paper designs the emotion regulation experiment and the exercise feedback experiment.Through the analysis of the experimental data,the effectiveness of the exercise feedback system in improving the emotion regulation ability of people with depressive tendency is verified.The innovations and contributions of this paper are as follows:(1)In this paper,the mechanism of exercise improving emotion regulation is taken as the theoretical guidance,and the method of exercise feedback for emotion regulation is proposed.Based on this method,an exercise feedback framework with personalized and accurate feedback is designed.The framework includes four modules: ECG acquisition and processing,sports fatigue recognition,feedback regulation,and data storage management.In order to realize the recognition of exercise fatigue,this paper designs the experiment of exercise fatigue and extracts the relevant features,and constructs the recognition model of exercise fatigue based on heart rate variability by using the k-nearest neighbor and decision tree algorithm respectively.In the feedback regulation module,the feedback index is firstly determined based on the analysis results of the emotion regulation experiment,and then the PID controller is used to adjust the heart rate variability in the movement of the subjects,and the visual speed is used as the feedback mode to guide the subjects to train in the movement state which is most beneficial to the effect of emotion regulation.In this study,the result of sports fatigue recognition is taken as the factor to optimize the feedback mode.Through the above methods and techniques,the exercise feedback method for emotion regulation can meet the personalized needs,and the feedback method is more accurate,so as to enhance the intervention effect of exercise on emotion regulation.(2)Based on the exercise feedback method for emotion regulation,this paper uses Java programming language to realize the exercise feedback system on the Android platform and designs the workflow of the system and friendly human-computer interface.In order to verify the effectiveness of the exercise feedback system,this paper designs the emotion regulation experiment and the exercise feedback experiment for the people with depressive tendency and analyzes the experimental results.In the experiment of emotion regulation,the heart rate variability is used to quantify the most beneficial movement state of each subject and as the feedback index of the exercise feedback system.In the exercise feedback experiment,the subjects with depressive tendency are divided into two groups: the feedback training group using the exercise feedback system and the control group using the general exercise plan.The results showed that the exercise feedback system could effectively regulate the heart rate variability of the subjects during exercise.The results of the scales also confirmed that the depression symptoms and emotion regulation ability of the feedback training group improved after 4 weeks of the experiment and more obvious after 6 weeks.Among them,the scores of PHQ-9 in the feedback training group decreased by 67.17%,the SDS scale scores decreased by 37.03%,and the cognitive reevaluation dimension scores of the ERQ scale increased by 47.05%.
