Dynamic three-dimensional display technology is popular today. To get a 3D display system with high spatial resolution, rich colors and large view is the purpose of all researchers. Omnidirectional view 3D display system has the advantage in such field:small amount of data, high resolution,360°omnidirectional view, stable machine and vivid image. The omnidirectional view 3D display system is study in this article.The 3D visual effect of human eye is explained in this paper. Point out that omnidirectional view 3D display system is based on binocular disparity effect, and give out detailed analysis of the optical principle. Our team designed the system with color high speed projection display, double sided reflective screen and rotating constituted. The reflective screen is constituted by Selective-diffusing screen,3D effect is achieved by reflect beam directional. RGB color LED is used as the light source for projection display and three chips DMD is designed to achieve color image projection.High-speed projection display is designed and built in this paper as the main job. Optical structure is given out, the electronical hardware is introduced and the logical design is described detailedly. The electronical hardware is based on TI's Discovery 4100 development kit. FPGA is the core of the control system, to coordinate with USB decoder chip, DMD driver chip and DDR2 memory interface. Software contains driver layer, application interface layer and graphical interface design layer. We design the logical system and software to achieve the function that put the picture in PC into board and displayed in DMD chip.Experimental results show that high-speed projection display can display pictures correctly in pixel level. The refresh speed can rate up to 24 kHz. Our team built up a test 3D display system, which is based on single chip DMD projection display. The system can give out a good show of 3D image, and the refresh speed is 48Hz, resolution is 384×768,276 pictures around.
