With the rapid development of economic, rail transport is playing an increasingly significant role. Therefore, laying tracks and building the railway becomes the first link of rail construction. The laying of the tracks is finished mainly by laying machine. The track-laying machine is special automation equipment for long line of sleepers and rails paving. Construction work on the track laying machine exists the stringent requirements, especially in monitoring speed of the process of and maintaining the stability of higher speed requirements in high speed and high-load operation.In this paper, T11B 500 meters long with four hydraulic rail cars is adopted as examples, the core device of signal conditioning in track-laying machine is field programmable gate array(PFGA) chip. Incremental Encoder is the sensors for long rail cars. The collection and monitoring,of moving parameters of is researched on track-laying operations. The signal conditioner module achieves the collection of exercise parameters, the signal segments, counting and computing functions of laying vehicle.First, this paper discusses the research situation, describes the broad long rail train and expatiates the signal processing method of incremental photoelectric encoder, the basic anamnesis of programmable logic device FPGA and programmable logic design theory. Second, in allusion to the requirements for the module design, the paper studies the structure of FPGA and the Spartan3 series XC3S400 chip functions by Xilinx productions, as well as some basic knowledge. The design method of highly integrated method by FPGA chip as the core of is adopted to achieve real time processing of two way signals on photoelectric encoder. The output data is identified, differentiated, counted, and calculated in the FPGA chip completely. Finally, the obtained data is transformed to the locomotive main control room in parallel means of communication. Then this paper introduces identified direction, counting, computation, and all other functions based on the FPGA chips by language development using VerilogHDL, designed and fabricated FPGA chips and peripheral circuit boards. Validates the feasibility of data acquisition functions for the motion quantity signal conditioner module of track-laying train base on FPGA and the calculation of exercise parameter.Finally, this paper discusses the prospects, evolvement about the quantity motion signal conditioner module of track-laying train base on FPGA.
