High school libraries face new challenges and opportunities among the background of deepening the quality education and constructing a learning society. They serve as the center of information and resources storage, collation, dissemination and use as well as the basis of teaching and research. The high construction level of high school libraries directly affects the quality of secondary education.First of all, in order to promote the development of Fuzhou high school libraries, this paper conducts a comprehensive field investigation of Fuzhou high school libraries from the aspects of information and resources construction, library conditions, capital investment, librarians'quality, information service and inter-library communication and cooperation, then analyzes the problems of its development. Second, it analyzes the domestic advanced high school libraries in other parts of China and generalizes the worthwhile construction experiences from which Fuzhou high school libraries should learn. Finally, it puts forward some development strategies of Fuzhou high school libraries for reference. They mainly deal with intensifying the government role, strengthening information construction, deepening information service and improving the overall quality of librarians.We hope this paper can serve as a reference role as well as raise the whole society's awareness of attaching importance to the development of Fuzhou high school libraries.
