Recently, data-driven control theory is one of the main studies in automatic control field and it has become more and more influent in the industrial process control. Model-Free Adaptive Control (MFAC) is a kind of typical data-driven control algorithms. With the development for about 10 years, MFAC not only enriches its theoretical system, but also makes great achievements in applications.In order to make users can study, apply and assess the MFAC algorithms without the need of complicated code, and for the sake of promotion of MFAC, we need urgently a high-efficiency simulation platform for the development of MFAC toolbox. MATLAB is one of the most common application software in current scientific research field, and its toolboxes have been extended to the scientific research and engineering application fields. So, the main task of this paper is to design and develop a MATLAB based MFAC toolbox.In this paper, interface of MFAC toolbox is developed based on MATLAB GUI environment and the program is based on M language. This MFAC toolbox will be an effective tool for the users who want to study and apply the MFAC algorithm.With the MFAC toolbox, a series of simulation studies is carried out on three-tank system, linear motor system and road crossing system and so on. By analyzing the simulation result, the validity and reliability of the MFAC toolbox is verified.The main contents of this paper are as follows:First, the background and significance of Model-Free Adaptive Control is introduced in the paper.Second, Model-Free Adaptive Control algorithms are proposed in sequent.Third, the development of MFAC toolbox is presented.Fourth, a series of simulation studies is carried out on three-tank system, linear motor system and road crossing system and so on. From the simulation, we analysize the effect of the algorithm and the validity and reliability of the MFAC toolbox is verified.Finally, the conclusion and its prospect of the paper is given.
