Research On Synesthesia In Interface Design Of Touch Screen Mobile Phone

With the popularity of the touch screen mobile phone, users'demand on Interface Design of the touch screen mobile phone is more and more. It is shown that users prefer to a touch screen mobile phone with a good user experience, which could meet both of their usability goals and experience goals. The factors of vision, hearing, touch, smell and other sensory in Interface Design of mobile phone will directly affect user experience and emotion. So it is significant to explore how to create multi-sensory and psychological stimuli in Interface Design of touch screen mobile phone to users. It is the focus of this research project.In this context, the phenomenon of synesthesia is analyzed and applied in the area of Interface Design of touch screen mobile phone. Synesthesia can break the limitation of a single sense, and promote the users to form the interoperability among sensories and mental. Based on the systematic study of the synesthesia theory, the application in GUI Design and Interaction Design is discussed to provide a better form to promote user experience in Interface Design of touch screen mobile phone. The phenomenon and the application of synesthesia is analyzed with a multi-angle perspective. On the one hand, the phenomenon of synesthesia can be expanded to the theory research in the product Interface Design. On the other hand, the designers'thinking is developed through in-depth study of psychological phenomenon. A new concept is provided to achieve innovation in interactive way. Ultimately a new interactive way replaces the traditional one to realize the interaction between users and touch screen with an anti-conventional way.At last, mood board is analyzed to explore the concept of touch screen mobile phone with synesthesia integrated with persons. The ideas and methods to explore the concept of touch screen mobile phone are put forward in the levels of instinct and behavior. The purpose of this study was to provide a supplementary means for the application of synesthesia in the touch screen mobile phone. And the way of mood board is used to guide the design practice, and explore the layout and interactive behavior design with synesthesia in iPhone touch screen mobile phone. The final interface prototype design is completed and the program of the layout and interactive behavior design with synesthesia is obtained through users'usability test.
