Design And Implementation Of Academic Course Selection System Based On Web Technology

With the deepening of China's educational reform and promotion, most of the university curriculum for students'organic adjustment, students'enrollment continues to relax the scope. Flexibility is so increasing that students can choose the extent courses permitted by his own college or other colleges'relating courses. Therefore, there is a need to develop a functional and reliable system to satisfy the students' selected course arrangement of university curriculum and improve the convenience and simplicity of students'elective performance management.This article first analyzes of elective courses'function that the system needs, including the Office of Academic Affairs'publishing and managing elective courses, students and teachers'online course selection assessing achievement according to the requirements of University Senate and students. The System allows students to choose the elective courses on the network,which can view the results and timely receive the information of curricula. Therefore, teachers and other academic staff are able to deal with the students'course selection information to the students'score, course statistics and other operations through the network. It will reduce the workload of students' course selection and the management and operations of students'scores, and thereby it will increase the efficiency of teaching management.The system is based on B/S architecture, using ASP. NET dynamic web technology, the background database SQL Server2005. This paper explains various functional modules of the specific development process and interface design. The system basically achieve the course selection of students and teachers, online scores, course statistics and so on adopting multi-user permission settings, triggers and other measures to ensure the security of data integrity and consistency. Finally, the paper describes this system's test plan, summarizes the problems and measures for further work.
