The laptop always asked to be novel and smaller, and to integrate more functions in one device, thus the antenna size has to be decreased, the surroundings of the antenna become more complex. Antenna engineer is facing more rigorous challenge. The influence of the surroundings are complex, this paper discusses the design feasibility of implementing the smart 3G antenna in the surrounding of metal back cover. Concepts of monopole, dipole and planer inverted F antenna are mostly used in laptop antenna design, however those types are all depending on the surroundings, and can't achieve better performance in metal condition. This paper success to find a solution to design 3G antenna in condition of metal surroundings by researching of the slot antenna. And verified by the means of the world's most influential simulation software HFSS and CTIA certificated standard microwave anechoic chamber Satimo SG24 system. |
