The construction of Suzhou Public Information Station (SPIS in short) system aims at satisfying the actual business needs of the system. The system is combined with advanced management and business operation modes applied at home and abroad, and provide Suzhou City with a channel of a unified access and services with high availability, advancement, scalability, and security. It provides the customers with maximum investment protection. The system is easy to be developed and maintained. It is of a three-tier system structure with the terminal server, application server, and database server, thus separating the presentation logic from the sequential logic, realizing distributed processing of the database services, business logic services and presentation logic services to meet the business requirements of the Public Information Station in Suzhou and also for the future development.Through a great deal of experiments, a series of valuable results are obtained which can be summarized in the following aspects:1. In this paper we introduced the development background, application and research of SPIS System with related content; analyzed the characteristics of the system, the system status, and the related technologies adopted in the system development.2. We proposed and described in detail the working mechanism of the four platform of the system by using DES CBC encryption technology and business process handling combination. Also we presented the application of the technology with the mainstream of UNIX-based open system and J2EE technology, and made the system available of flexibility, security, and good manageability.3. We analyzed the system's hardware and software structure frame as a whole with the module division, and described the three-tier design model. We analyzed in detail the design methods and provided the system implementation process. The application of the Oracle database security mechanisms and its optimization are described.
