Research And Implementation Of Key Technologies Of Webcam Video Monitor Management Systems

Web camera (WEBCAM) is a kind of digital camera video monitor service terminals with an inbuilt web server by which people can monitor video, control remotely and manipulate PTZ(Pan/Tilt/Zoom).It is very easy and convient to install and make layout. However, the limitations of web access mechanism and embeded system's RAM and ROM make some external functions like start/stop schedule, multi-user management,huge video data storage etc.impossible.This paper introduced basal functions and characteristics of webcam modules firstly such as motion jepg format, network interface controls and embeded database interface. Then, the paper designed and analyzed a project-WEBCAM Monitor Management System. On the basis of the above, the paper showed how to implement WEBCAM Monitor Management System's sub-functions including storage, playing, schedule and UI etc. by VC++ 6.0.Finally, the project broke out of obsolete web-access management mode and realized a desk access-friendly system managing multiple WEBCAM intelligently.This paper focused on the design of WEBCAM Monitor Management System, the function analysis of UI module,the developing experience and methods of implementations.In the finality, the paper summed up the content and prospected the future of the project.
