The Application And Research Of Data Mining In Analysis Of Adult Education Students' Grade

The technology of data warehouse and data mining is the hot issue in the information technique field.Data warehouse and data mining techniques have been widely used in many fields, but they are rarely applied in the field of education, and lack systematic research especially for educational management information system. Now the educational management information system has accumulated a large amount of data, but these data are primarily used to provide a simple query and statistical reports, the data hidden in the deep-level information is not fully utilized. The study focus on the use of data warehouse and data mining technology to explore the implicit information in student achievement data. We put data mining technology based on data warehouse into students' score analysis, in order to find the reason that affect student achievement.Through these rules, we can provide decision support for adult college management and improve the quality of teaching. It has a social signality to develop the research of data warehouse and data mining technology, and it can also develop the education and efficiency.According to the study of data warehouse theory and data mining technology, and integrating the character of Students'scores management system in educational management information system, the idea of applying the data warehouse and data mining technology into students'scores analysis is raised in the thesis.The article first introduces the new technology of data warehouse and data mining, together with the design and implementation of the Education Management Information System. Then we establish a data warehouse of students'performance, including the data warehouse model designing and the extraction, transformation and loading for the data. Lastly, through deep research of the association rules algorithm,then we put the algorithm into the established student achievement data warehouse, and derived some useful rules from it. In this paper, we use students'score data of Ocean University of China School of Continuing Education Academic Management System, design and set up student performance data warehouse by using SQL Server 2000 Analysis Service, and data mining association rules algorithm is applied to student achievement data warehouse.Through deep analysis of student achievement data, we tap out vast amounts of valuable information for future teaching management.
