MIMO-OFDM system which is constituted by multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and OFDM can fully exert MIMO and OFDM respective advantages. It can improve transmission performance of wireless communication system in selective fading channel and satisfy new generation mobile communication system requirements, so MIMO-OFDM system is regarded as B3G/4G and future broadband wireless communication system the most potential solution.The Space-time code technology based on MIMO is an ideal choice improving wireless communication performance, improving data transfer rate of limited system. In this paper, several main space-time code technologies is studied comparison, puts forward a scheme that applied Super-orthogonal space-time trellis codes (SOSTTC) in MIMO-OFDM system, and construct a SOSTTC-OFDM systems which can improve transmission performance of MIMO-OFDM system.This paper firstly simulates several space-time code schemes on the basis of theoretical analysis using MATLAB, the simulation based on narrowband flat fading channel hypothesis. It compares several code schemes'performance. The results show that the SOSTTC can provide full rate and full diversity as well as lower decoding complexity than STTC. This paper proposes a SOSTTC-OFDM systems, and designs the code scheme and system structure, then makes a MATLAB simulation on broadband frequency selective fading channel. The results prove that the SOSTTC-OFDM systems has better transmission performance on frequency selective channel, and MIMO-OFDM system can obtains more diversity gain and coding gain using SOSTTC.
