Animation is one of the most charming industries in the recent years. At present the most popular way of 3-D animation designing is relied on CG(Computing Graphic),which makes use of the powerful computing ability of the computer. As the setting of the animation scene becomes more and more complicated, the animation effect becomes more and more vivid, the animation model becomes more and more exquisite, the number of file and texture library becomes more and more,3-D animation's demanding for rendering is higher and higher and the amount of computing for rendering is larger and larger. The statistics shows that the computing time for animation rendering double ever three years.The rendering computing technique has become the bottleneck for the development of animation industry. In the process of rendering, it needs a large quantity of floating-point calculation and integer calculation. The time of rendering using normal PC is unendurable and the huge data to handle makes it worse. Using special server as the animation rendering platform can't satisfy the needs of making modern 3-D animation. Now, distributed parallel cluster gradually plays an important role in digital animation rendering becomes of its extremely good performance. Digital animation rendering technique based on cluster computing has become the mainstream of the development of animation industry. The research and application of it is the main solution to the bottleneck of computing of animation industry development.The contents of this dissertation are as follow:(1) Deeply research the computing technique of cluster digital animation rendering and introduce the OC(Organic Computing) concept into the administration mechanism of high performance render farm computing system.(2) Design the OC model for render farm computing system. Improve the ability of rendering computing system by giving organic Self-X character to render farm computing system.(3) Develop an interactive environment for render farm computing system. Research the load-balance schedule and fault-tolerance for render farm computing system.(4) Simulate the render farm computing system and test it. The result of the test identifies that render farm computing system can dramatically improve the effectiveness of rendering. This dissertation contributes to the building of high performance render farm computing platform which is used in many areas, such as:Movie, Animation, TV, Game, Multimedia and so on. It also provides an interactive and reliable high-speed express-way to the animation designing company and improves the development of animation industry.
