Currently, a cluster is becoming a popular technology in computer science field, which is developing fast. A cluster is a group of loosely coupled computers that work together closely so that in many respects they can be viewed as though they are a single computer. Clusters are usually deployed to improve performance and/or availability over that provided by a single computer, while typically being much more cost-effective than single computer of comparable speed or availability. In future, more and more computing with high performance will be implemented by cluster system.First of all, this paper makes a decision for loading-balance cluster as the topic, after analyzing and comparing the three computing platforms: Parallel Vector Processor (PVP), Symmetric Multi-Processor (SMP) and loading-balance cluster.The prevalent cluster loading-balance technology is analyzed, and an evaluation system is worked out to how to analyze and evaluate a loading-balance cluster. According this system, a cluster operation system as a final solution is chosen.During implementation of the loading-balance cluster, after researching and analyzing the principle and mechanism of job scheduling, work flow, especially for LSF, and this loading-balance cluster is designed and implemented, which include system infrastructure, network topology and cluster operation software system. Meanwhile, this paper analyzes and configures appropriate scheduling policy, implements usage policy of software license, develops the intelligent job exception management module.
