With the progressive deepening of the revolution and opening up,our country’s economy and social structure have had profoundchanges, the pattern of interests has had profound adjustment, and thediversification of the main bodies of interests is growing, whichincreasingly highlight the contradictories and conflicts of differentinterest groups. As the performance of the social intensecontradictions, mass disturbances have more demonstrated the"easily-occurred, often-occurred and frequently-occurred" trends,which exert negative effects on the economic and social developmentas well as the people’s production and living, arousing high attentionsfrom various circles of society.From the perspective of the theory of social contradiction insocialist society, the paper analyzes the status of mass disturbances inour country, thoroughly studies the cause, and puts forward ideas andmeasures to prevent and tackle mass disturbances.Introduction: Through the elaboration of the research backgroundof mass disturbances, this paper explains the practical and theoreticalsignificance of the mass disturbances research, analyzes the domesticand overseas research status of mass disturbances from theperspectives of theoretical research, cause discussion, type analysisand prevention measures of mass disturbances, and introduces theresearch methods adopted in this paper.Chapter1: Society Contradiction Theory of Socialism is aScientific Theory to Study Mass Disturbances. The concept of mass disturbances is defined by systematically sorting out the concepts ofmass disturbances from academic circles and analyzing theadvantages and disadvantages; It expounds systematically thecontradiction theory of socialist society from the aspects of its causes,its contradiction types, its contradiction nature, its solutions and so on,in order to determine the analysis for studying the mass disturbancesthrough the contradiction theory of socialist society.Chapter2: Status of Mass Disturbances. Guided by the theory ofsocialist social contradiction, this paper deeply analyses the types andeffects of mass disturbances, elaborates the characteristics presentedby current mass disturbances of being easily-occurred, often-occurredand widely-involved, dissects the different properties of massdisturbances and predicts the mass disturbances’ trends of beingoften-occurred in short terms, gradually spreading to the politicalfield from economic and social fields, and evolving from singlenessto synthesis.Chapter3: Reasons of Mass Disturbances. This chapter carries outan systematic analysis on the causes of mass disturbances, pointingout that: the low level of economic development and the imperfectdistribution system, the benefits being damaged or demands not beingmet are the economic causes of mass disturbances; the relativelagging of the revolution in political constitutions, the execution ofpower which lacks effective supervision and restriction, theincomplete construction of regimes in the grass-roots level and theunruly style of public officials are the political aspect reasons whichgenerate mass disturbances; The deficiency of cultural construction,the haunting of privilege thinking and the thinking of ruling by man, and the weak legal sense of citizens are the cultural reasons of thegeneration of mass disturbances. The social reasons which generatemass disturbance are the lag of the social management constitution,the lack of mutual trust among members of society and theinharmonious relationship between different social hierarchies; andthe international reason is the penetration of international hostileforces into our society.Chapter4: Prevention of Mass Disturbances. Expound how toprevent the occurrence of mass disturbances in a relatively detailedway: Firstly, deepen the reform of the economic system, improve thesystem of distribution and achieve the fair distribution; secondly,deepen the political system reform and strengthen the supervision andthe restriction on power; thirdly, reinforce the socialism core valueseducation and legal education; fourthly, innovate social managementconstitution, innovate social contradictory handling mechanism, andstimulate social organization vigor; fifthly, reinforce the internationalcooperation and fight against the infiltration and sabotage activitiesmade by hostile forces abroad; sixthly, establish and perfect the earlywarning and disposal mechanism of mass disturbances to resolvesocial conflicts, respond to and deal with mass disturbances correctlyand ensure social harmony and stability.
