Objective:Given the frequency and intensity of campus violence, self-mutilation and suicide, the mentally health of students has gotten more and more attention from all over the world. This thesis takes the students of Hongge Junior High School of Ya nbian County; Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province of China for example, combines the status survey of students’ ability of emotional management with intervention research.At last, this study is to try to find a more suitable way to improve middle school stude nts’ emotional management ability.Methods: This study with red squares and middle school students in Panzhihua City in Sichuan Province as the object of study by by the college students’ emotion management ability questionnaire "and" adolescent emotional intelligence scale "of" emotion management ability "component table together constitute the scale to 238 students Hongge Middle School of emotion management ability present situation investigation, and according to the results of the survey of group counseling course design, and then extract grade 5 classes as the experimental group. In the experimental class were six weeks improve emotional management skills of counseling, and through the pretest and post test data comparison, to examine the effectiveness of intervention.Conclusion: 1. The current situation of the students’ emotion management abilit y of the Hongge middle school is that the students lack the ability of emotion recognit ion and the ability of emotion recognition. Boys in the determination of the performan ce is higher than girls. First grade students in the three grades in the worst emotional management ability, mainly in the emotional awareness and emotional understanding of the differences in the ability. The student cadre’s emotion management ability is str onger than the ordinary student. Outstanding performance in the ability of emotional c ontrol, emotional expression and emotional awareness, the ability to solve problems a nd perseverance emotion management ability. 2.On the intervention effect of emotion management ability of red cell of middle school students, experimental class of emotion management ability score, emotional awareness dimension and measured by comparison has increased significantly, but average in the four indicators of emotion regulation, emotion expression, emotion understanding and college students’ emotion management ability scores are compared with the previous measured progress, but did not reach the statistical significant. In view of the above research results, the reasons for the intervention were not achieved, and the suggestions for improving the students’ emotional management ability of the red cell middle school were put forward.
