Aggression is the intention or act of injuring others,and aggressivity is a state of preparation and behavioral tendencies that can stimulate an individual to generate an attack under environmental stimuli.Junior middle school students who are under academic pressure and other factors producing a high degree of attack,aggression intention is an important reason for the students to conflict in the study and life of the campus,which is an important individual factor influencing the stability and safety of the campus.Self-concept is an important aspect of the healthy personality of junior middle school students,and it has a close relationship with the aggression.The study hopes to predict the level of aggression by measuring self-concept,and then intervening the individual’s self-concept,reducing the aggression of junior middle school students,and ultimately maintain the campus environment security and stability.The study included two phases,the first phase was using the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale.The Tennessee Self-concept Scale(TSCS)is compiled by Fitts,an American psychologist,and revised by Taiwanese scholar Lin Bangjie;and using the MAACL MAACL-H hostile scale of the variety of emotional adjective checklist scale to measured hostile moods;and E-prime2.0 professional software to test implicit aggression.We surveyed 350 junior middle school students of Shijiazhuang High School 41 th and analyze the relationship between self-concept and aggression;the second phase was selected self-concept level of the top 15% of students as a high self-concept group,the final 15% as low self-concept group.Through by random sampling,the selected subjects were divided into three groups,the experimental group of 32 subjects(high self-concept group of 16 students and low self-concept group of16 students),placebo group of 32 people(high self-concept group of 16 students and low self-concept group of 16 students),the control group of 32 people(high self-concept group of 16 students and low self-concept group of 16 students).And then intervened to the experimental group and placebo group,each group has eight times of the group counseling.Group counseling activities in the experimental groupwere mainly aimed at the self-concept of junior middle school students,Group counseling activities in the placebo group carried out growth counseling to solve the students’ problems in learning and life.The control group did not undergo any intervention.After the intervention,the level of the self-concept and aggression in the three groups were tested,and the data of the three groups were analyzed statistically.The results showed that the self-concept and the explicit aggression of junior middle school students were significantly correlated(r = 0.236 **).The self-concept of junior middle school students and their factors as independent variables were analyzed by regression analysis,self-criticism,social self and self-satisfaction have significant predictive effect on explicit aggression.To take the changing value of the self-concept in the experiment as the dependent variable,two-factor analysis of variance was carried out with different types of self-concept and different types of experiments as independent variables.The main effect of self-concept was significant(F=126.133**),the main effect of the experimental group was significant(F=3.602*);to take the changing value of the explicit aggression in the experiment as the dependent variable,two-factor analysis of variance was carried out with different types of self-concept and different types of experiments as independent variables.The main effect of self-concept was significant(F = 4.306*),and the main effect of the experimental group was significant(F = 9.038*).·The study shows that there is a significant positive correlation between self-concept and explicit aggression of junior middle school students;group counseling activities can influence the level of self-concept of junior middle school students;through the intervention of self-concept of junior middle school students,it can effectively reduce the explicit aggression level of junior middle school students.
