Establishment and revision of psychological health measurement tools is an important work, the current measurement tools are mainly based on three kinds of theoretical assumptions of the measurement of mental health, these theoretical assumptions are: psychological disease hypothesis, hypothesis function of positive psychology and mental health hypothesis. The American psychologist Keyes developed a questionnaire of Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form(MHC-SF) based on completely Mental health hypothesis. the questionnaire include 40 items,In order to research and measurement facilitately, based on clinical evaluation criteria, selecting the representative 14 items, developing Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form. the questionnaire include adult version and teenager version. The adult version has been verified in adults and college students in the United States, adults in Holland, adults in South Africa、adults and college students in China,The teenager version has been verified in teenagers in Australia, teenager in the United States. The questionnaire has cross-cultural applicability, The validity of the questionnaire has not been tested in teenagers group in China, therefore, this study will revise Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form(teenager version), to make it suitable for teenagers in China. The purpose of the first study is analyze structure validity of Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form(teenager version), The investigation sample consisted of 4500 teenagers from Dehong, Wenshan and Nujiang at al in Yunnan province by convenience sampling. They were assessed with the teenagers version of MHC-SF(teenager version) for item analysis 、 confirmatory factor analysis and internal consistency analysis. Results: The version of MHC-SF(teenager version)was composed of emotional well-being, psychological well-being,and social well-being,including 14 items, The correlation coefficient of each item score and total item score is between 0.61- 0.70(only correlation coefficient of item four is 0.47).MHC-SF(teenager version) of EWB, SWB and PWB subscales of internal consistency reliability Cronbach alpha coefficient are: 0.81, 0.73, 0.84,The questionnaire’s internal consistency Cronbach alpha coefficient is 0.89;the three dimensions of Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form(teenager version) corresponds to the actual data. The fitting index of x squared = 570.96 respectively, df = 74, RMSEA = 0. 05, GFI = 0. 97, NFI = 0. 95, CFI = 0. 96, the questionnaire has good structure validity. total score of MHC- SF is(3.27 ±1.00), EWB is(3.37 ± 1.18), SWB is(3.12 ±1.10), PWB is(3.35 ± 1.13);In the aspect of mental health: languishing of 220(5%), moderate mental health of 2255(51.1%), flourishing of 1937(43.8%).The purposes of the second study is investigate criterion related validity of Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form(teenager version), The investigation sample consisted of 1709 teenagers from Xuanwei in Yunnan province by convenience sampling. Their ages is between 11 and 18,They were assessed with the teenagers version of MHC-SF 、 self-esteem scale 、 the Bully/bullies Questionnaire 、 the Subjective Well-being Face Scale for internal consistency reliability and criterion validity,Results: MHC- SF(teenager version) scale of EWB, SWB and PWB all subscales and mental health of total table of internal consistency Cronbach alpha were 0.85, 0.69, 0.82, 0.88;MHC- SF(teenager version) total score points、three dimensions and the self-esteem scale(SES) positive correlation(r = 0.48 ~ 0.48, P < 0.01), the Subjective Well-being Face Scale positive correlation(r = 0.26 ~ 0.38, P < 0.01),however, negative related to the BVQ score(r = 0.10 ~ 0.14, P < 0.01);By hierarchical regression analysis showed that the teenagers’ mental health can predict their self-esteem、subjective well-being and bullying behavior. In 1079 students, MHC- SF(3.86 ± 1.0), EWB(3.97 ±1.3) and SWB(3.60 ±1.1), the PWB(4.01± 1.1); languishing of 28(2.6%), moderate mental health of 773(71.6%), flourishing of 278(25.8%).In summary, the study obtains the following conclusions.1. Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form(teenager version) in Chinese teenager showed three factors model: emotional well-being and social well-being and psychological well-being, It consistents with the original questionnaire of the three factors model.2. The teenager mental health level can predict the level of self-esteem, subjective well-being and bullying behavior. The healthier of teenagers, the higher level of self-esteem, the stronger the subjective well-being, on the contrary, the less psychological health of teenagers, the lower the level of self-esteem and subjective well-being; Mental health also can predict bullying behavior, mental health level, the higher the individuals by the less bullying, on the contrary, the lower the mental health level of individuals, bullying behavior is more serious.3. The revision of Mental Healthy Continuum-Short Form(teenager version) to achieve the reliability and validity of surveying standard, It has intercultural consistency in youth groups in China, It can be used as a tool of adolescent mental health research in China.
