A Study On The Relationship Between The Pictures And Paintings Of Woodcut Engraving In Yan'an

Images and words have the function of symbolic interaction in the process of meaning transfer, with the purpose of the completion of characterization.Yanan woodcut in wartime undertook the task of social intervention, the use of western realistic techniques, absorption of folk art aesthetic preferences, expected to play a role in popularizing education in public.So as far as possible to reduce the ambiguity of the image, highlight the semantic content of picture, utilize the title to give the viewer of deterministic guide,yanan woodcut has different performance in the process of characterization methods, presents the modeled characteristics.This paper argues that in some way,especialy the relationship of images and titles,yanan woodcut has a more far-reaching influence,and has a certain logical relationship with new China’s art.
