I will describe the political metaphor in Japanese post-war drama in different three aspects at this master thesis. They are the criticism of beliefs changing, the mental reconstruction of Japanese people under American occupation forces and Japanese-American relationship at the atomic bomb explosion drama. They show the development and vicissitude of Japanese intellectuals and common people’s self-cognition.
