In the phonetic teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, sentence stress is an important content which cannot be ignored. Study of sentence stress is related to the students on the mastery degree of Chinese intonation. Based on European-American students whose native language is English as the research object, this paper will first do contrast analysis in Chinese and English, find out the similarities and differences between the two, to lay a theoretical foundation for Chinese sentence stress acquisition error analysis from Europe- American students. Then we use the method of experimental phonetics research, with the aid of software —Mini-Speech Lab to make error analysis to European-American students’ sentence stress acquisition. Compared with the experiment results of Chinese students, we can find out the deficiency of Chinese sentence stress used by European and American students. According to the experimental results, we can find out the reasons of sentence stress errors occurred, and put forward some targeted suggestions of teaching. |
