In a variety of American reform, the Prohibition Movement which aimed at limiting the personal habits is undoubtedly unique.It originated in the colonial period.Thousands of people enthusiastically participated in the Prohibition Movement.In 1919 the adoption of the eighteenth amendment pushed the Prohibition Movement to the peak.While fourteen years later, the Prohibition Act was abolished by the twenty-first amendment.The Prohibition Movement ended in failure.Although the outcome of the Prohibition Movement was not successful, it lasted for more than a century and has deep research value.Undoubtedly,The Prohibition Movement is a great case of America during the period of social transformation in the late 19 th and early 20 th century.Religion is the spiritual source of the American nation.
