| Since the 1980 s,Horwitz et al.proposed the foreign language learinng anxiety concept.Different scholars researched the foreign language learning anxiety at different time.This paper,based on existing research,does an anxiety of conditions and causes of oversea Chinese students’ anxiety learning Chinese in the Chinese department of Universitas Bunda Mulia in Indonesia.This study consisting of 167 oversea Chinese students at Universitas Bunda Mulia who filled out a survery.By the scale,this paper will analyse the Chinese learning anxiety and the causes of Chinese learning anxiety among these oversea Chinese students.Then,combined with the use of SPSS to analyse the results of the survery.The contents of this paper mainly includes four aspects:the level of the anxiety in learning,some personal factors that influence anxiety levels in these oversea Chinese students,the causes of anxiety,as well as how to relief the anxiety.The results of this study show:firstly,te 167 oversea Chinese students are more or less interfered with Chinese learing anxiety,and the anxiety level is higher than previous studies.Secondly,the levels of anxieties are strongly influenced by different genders,speak Chinese dialects or not and subjective language competences.But not influenced by differen grades,the length of learning Chinese before they entered the vniversity and the characters of those students.Thirdly,In the Chinese department the oversea Chinese students’ Chinese learning anxiety can be caused by many sources,and the most important sources are competitive factors and lack of confidence during learning Chinese.Finally,on the basis of all the above conclusions,the author will proposes some strategies for teachers and students.And hope these strategies will be helpful to these oversea Chinese students to reduce the anxiety of learning Chinese.And also hope this paper can become a recommendation in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. |
