This study investigates the motivations of students of Zhengdao school in learning Chinese language,and conducts statistics and analysis on the results.The survey results show that the motivation of students in the Zhengdao school largely is external motivation,students learn Chinese because the Chinese language courses are part of school curriculum,they only learn to fulfill school's requirements and to pass the exam,they also learn Chinese language at the request of parents,Learning motivation is to be counted as passive rather than active.Second is the tool-based motivation,the practical purpose of learning Chinese as a tool.Learn Chinese to become a more knowledgeable person and to find a good job.In view of the problems existing in students' learning motivation,this paper attempts to propose some countermeasures and suggestions.Students should focus on the motivation of internal motivation and transform their external motivation into internal motivation.Break away from the pressure of parental demands,because learning Chinese is to prepare for their own future,let students understand the benefits and importance of learning Chinese.Teachers' teaching activities can directly enhance students' learning motivation.Teachers should continuously improve teaching,transform teaching methods and teaching modes,and cultivate and stimulate students' learning motivation.Combining the teaching practice of Chinese language,carrying out cultural teaching,instilling students with profound Chinese culture,and letting students familiar with and confirm Chinese culture.Teachers create a language learning environment in the classroom,guide students to use Chinese language to communicate with others,and ultimately achieve the purpose of cultivating Chinese language skills and communication.The content of the textbooks is fully considered in terms of students' understanding and acceptability.It does not need to be too esoteric,or too difficult so that students feel that Chinese is too difficult to learn.As long as it is easy to learn and use,it is attractive to students to enhance their motivation and make students learn faster.The spread of Buddhist culture must begin with education and realize the education of the universe.In order to improve students' learning spirit and awareness,they teach learning "mindfulness" Vipassana meditation.Extracurricular teaching of the Disciples Rules allows students to understand the sages and implement the teachings of the sages.Combine with learning motivation,become virtuous and talented student.To bring forth the motivation of Indonesian Chinese students to learn Chinese,there is an unshirkable responsibility at the family and social level.Older generations of Chinese and parents need to instill a sense of mother tongue in Chinese and culture.In the society,efforts should be made to promote and popularize Chinese language,provide a language environment,carry out cultural movements,popularize the Chinese-speaking movement,and lead the way to influence the next generation,paving the way for the next successor.
