| Misinterpretation and omissions are the two major problems in legal terminology interpreting. The reasons behind them include the differences between Chinese and English Legal systems, the two different languages as well as the pressure on the working spot. However some principles can help to find the solutions to solve the problems, such as principle of equivalence, terminology exposition, and adapted alienation interpreting. The approaches applied include literal interpreting, free interpreting, supplement interpreting, paraphrasing, functional equivalence, and word coining. At the same time, the interpreter should build up their subject knowledge to develop the expertise. All in all, the accuracy of legal terminology interpretation, as one of the assessments standards, ensures the quality of legal subject consecutive interpretation. |
