Comprehensive course is the most important part of Teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which includes listening, speaking, reading, writing and culture teaching and so on. Intermediate stage of comprehensive course has its unique characteristics, it’s different from the basic stage and it does not meet the level of advanced stage.It requires teachers carry out effictient teaching methods.The intermediate stage plays an important role as a link between the basic stage and the advanced stage, it need consolidate the basic stage and lay a good foundation for the higher levels of learning.Teaching design is not a simple lesson plan, it need teachers combine with the actual situation of students, as well as the teaching content of the lesson, in order to show the knowledge in the best way.This paper focuses on how to effectively design the intermediate stage of the comprehensive course.Combined with the author learned in education of science, psychology teaching, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, second language acquisition and error analysis during graduate school,and the experience in Mongolia as a volunteer,this paper explore the principles and methods of the intermediate stage comprehensive course design.According to the characteristics and teaching principles of comprehensive course for intermediate stage,and the students’ actual situation,the structure and characteristics of the lesson, this paper determine the appropriate teaching methods.Through the teaching practice, optimize the teaching design, this paper try to obtain the best teaching effect.Take Climbing--the intermediate level of Chinese(Volume 2) lesson 34 Beiying as an example,this paper design of the teaching process, attempts to innovate and improve the teaching mode of the comprehensive course in the current intermediate stage.This paper is divided into five parts, as follows:The first part is the introduction, mainly elaborated the research background, the value and the significance, the domestic scholar’s research present situation and Chinese language teaching situation in Mongolia.The second part is an analysis about the comprehensive course of Teaching Chinese as a foreign language, including the meaning and characteristic of the comprehensive course, some problems existing in the current intermediate stage and analysis on the teaching methods.The third part is the analysis on the teaching design of Beiying, from the teaching material,object, course type, content, principles and the arrangement of the class.The fourth part is the main part of this paper-- he specific teaching design of Beiying.According to the the analysis of the third part, combined with the content and the actual level ofthe students, I designed the teaching process. The goal in every part is to improve the teaching efficiency and ensure that students will learn as much knowledge as they can.The fifth part, summary. It gives a more comprehensive summary and shows the innovation of this paper. Lastly, it points out the shortcoming of the paper.
