We can found that Cantonese animal idioms is concentrated expression of Cantonese culture, which reflects the Lingnan Agricultural Culture, folk customs, eating habits, religious life and so on. Cantonese of animal idioms in the study, from the structure can be a glimpse of the uniqueness of the Cantonese grammar, from the image can feel wide mansion humorous personality. Also from the aspect of cognitive research insights into human language metaphor characteristics in common; contrastive linguistics and cultural linguistics as the theoretical basis can have certain understanding of Cantonese origin and development direction.This thesis shows the wide mansion of cultural vivid appearance and shares some simple ideas in Cantonese studies, to help the study on teaching in Cantonese, and such relative southern languages, by discussion on Cantonese animal idioms as the breakthrough point, and by Zhuang animal idioms in the same substratum of Baiyue language as the comparative perspective.This thesis consists of three parts. The first chapter is the first part, which mainly introduces the originand the significance of the topic, the relevant research trends, as well as the data sources, theoretical basis and research methods of this paper. The second chapter and the third chapter is the second part:the second chapter mainly discusses the Cantonese of animal idioms in classification and language structure and and Zhuang animal idioms were compared, respectively Cantonese sayings about animals, animal idioms, animal proverbs and idioms to the language of the preliminary structural analysis; the rhetorical characteristics of the third chapter mainly discusses the Cantonese animal idioms, used in Cantonese of animal idioms in phonetic and semantic aspects of speech, Cantonese of animal idioms in expression rhetoric color and image rhetoric color and so on, are discussed, and Zhuang animal idioms and related characteristics are compared on a number. The fourth chapter is the conclusion of the third part, which is based on the relevant discussion, and points out the deficiencies of this paper and the problems that need to be discussed in the future.
