The Exegesis And Lexicology Value Of Chunqiu And Biography Of Gongyang With He Xiu’s Annotation

The Eastern Han dynasty is the early stages of Middle ancient Chinese. In the period, great changes have occurred in Chinese. At the same time, the Eastern Han Dynasty is also a period of prosperity in annotation. There were also some exegetes painters such as Hexiu, which is one of the outstanding representatives in the late Eastern Han dynasty.However, for some reasons, Hexiu’s annotation has seldom been concerned about. In this paper the research object is annotation of Chunqiu Gongyang Zhuan. the methods such as comparison, illustration, and form has been used. From the perspectives of glossary and Lexicology, The paper is also the first one, which comprehensively summarizes and studies the Hexiu’s annotation as well. This paper is divided into five chapters.Chapter one, we summarize the studying situation of Hexiu and Hexiu’s annotation. By analysis of the all Hexiu’s life and the going around of annotation by Hexiu, we narrate the causes of studying annotation of Chunqiu Gongyang Zhuan by Hexiu. Reviewing philology dialectology and lexics studying history, then analyze the methods of study.Chapter two discusses the exegetical content and its influence. From the interpretation of words, explanation of grammar, illustration of sentence means, explanation of naming and system, we discussed the exegetical content in Hexiu’s annotations, and summarized its influence of exegesis in Hexiu’s.Chapter three, we give a brief account of lexical composition, and elaborate the value of the words research on Hexiu’s annotations. From three respects from the ancient words, new words and slang words, we describe the composition of vocabulary, then elaborate the value of the words research from lexicology and lexicography.Chapter four, we study polysyllabic words in Hexiu’s. on the basis of a statistical analysis of the disyllabic words in Hexiu’s, we describe and analyze the different formations of the disyllabic words. And the historical status and contributions of the studying of disyllabic words.Chapter five, we discuss the relationship between acceptation’s formants of one word explaining one word and synonymy compounds. On the basis of a statistical analysis of the acceptation’s formants of one word explaining one word in Hexiu’s, three questions are discussed: acceptation’s formants of one word explaining one word. relationship between acceptation’s formants of one word explaining one word and appearance of synonymy compounds, at last we also discuss the development of the synonymy compounds which consist of monosyllables in acceptation’s formants of one word explaining one word.
