Sentence is the smallest unit of language communication to express ideas, and it is composed of different syntactic components. Modern Chinese syntactic components can be divided into several types, such as subject, predicate, object, attributive, adverbial, complement, center, etc, according to their structural relationships within sentences. Although the two languages both have the subject as one of the important components of sentence, there are many differences in the acpect of structure and semantics. This paper mainly analyses the subject structure and semantic features of Chinese and Uyghur languages comparatively based on the contrastive linguistics theory, to find out the remaining problems of Uyghur students’learning subjects in Chinese, and to put forward some teaching countermeasures.
