As a successful artist, Mr. Luo Zhongrong, under the multiple influence of cultural environment and style of the times as well as his own pursuit of art, has become one of the most representative composer of the country. In view of his creating process, he had created many high-quality, influential works during different period with varied genres, and a amount as many as about 80; In view of his creating techniques, since the Chinese economic reform, he gradually formed his own style and characteristics, combining traditional folk elements with modern western music techniques and accomplishing the comprehensive use of the “5-12 tone theory”. In view of his thought, Mr. Luo Zhongrong is advancing with the times to highlight the “Chinese Style”. On such basis, with continuous exploration and innovation, its own unique perspective and careful rational thinking, he was able to lead the exploration of the 12-tone “Chinization”. The binding of “5 acoustic” and “12-tone sequence” gives his unique modern music style a tag of new-era Chinization.This article will focus on several Mr. Luo’s later works, such as <An Xiang>, <Luo Zheng Hua Yi> as main research objects, conduct a comprehensive analysis of the pitch organization, musical structure, polyphonic techniques and band orchestration features, specially focusing on the “5 acoustic” and “12-tone sequence” part to demonstrate how the “12-tone sequences” was able to replace the traditional chord and constitute the complex modern music. Through this analysis will I be able to reveal Mr. Luo’s attitude to the development of Chinese traditional music and his thought of the utilization of modern western music.This article is divided into 3 chapters to illustrate the exploration and innovation of the composer. The first chapter is mainly to discuss Mr. luo’s considerable contribution to the theoretical study of modern music creation and sound stage set; The second chapter: since organization and structure of the pitch plays an critical role in Mr. Luo’s modern music, this chapter will occupy a large scale of the paper to introduce and analyze the “5 acoustic & 12-tone sequence” theory as well as the utilization in certain works; The third chapter mainly discusses the composing techniques, analyze the composer’s unique ideas and writing skills through musical structure, polyphony and orchestration features; In the epilogue, I will summary the thinking of Luo Zhengrong’s creation of modern music and my own view of the analyzing of 2 works.
