A Study On The Grammar Of Tongren Dialect

Tongren city,the key area connecting south and southeast area, known as the "Taoyuan Tongren",is located in the Wuling Mountain hinterland of the eastern Guizhou province.This paper involves four grammatical categories to research:Tongren dialect overlapping, affixes, aspect markers and mood words.The paper consists of six chapters:Chapter one: the introduction. With a brief introduction of Tongren geographical status,the phonological system and the existing research of Tongren dialect,this chapter mainly expounds the purpose and significance of this research and establish research range and methods.Chapter two:the overlapping research of Tongren dialect. This chapter reviews the three major categories of overlapping phenomenon of Tongren dialect:nouns, adjectives and verbs. It is focused on the analysis of the three overlapping forms of syntactic structure,grammatical meaning and grammatical function.Then we finds similarity and its own dialect characters and compare the grammatical form and meaning of different languages.Chapter three:Tongren dialect affixes.There are lots of Tongren dialect affixes.According to word class, this chapter chooses representative affixes to divided them into noun affixes, adjective affixes and affix affixes.Three more categories,such as the prefix, infix and postfix,could be subdivided.It shows you the affixes structures and analyses their four functions,such as separating words,.determing the nature,semantization and adding syllable.Chapter four: the aspect system of Tongren dialect. Tongren dialect aspects are divided into five aspects: "zhe" stands for the advanced aspect, "qi1" stands for the ingressive aspect, "qi2", "dao" and "de1" stand for the durative aspect, "dao" and "zhengdao" stand for the progressive aspect, "de2" stands for the perfective aspect.This chapter focuses on the analysis of syntactic pattern and grammatical meaning and emphasizes on the comparison of inner structure.In the end,it study the kinship between Tongren dialect and Mandarin.Chapter five:the mood words of Tongren dialect.The 12 commonly used mood words could be divided into the modal particle,the modal words and the interrogative words.It discusses the grammatical meaning and grammatical function of all kinds of mood words and summarizes the grammatical features of mood words, especially the research of overlapping pattern.Chapter sixth: the conclusion. This chapter is a summary of the full text, expounding some thinking on the study of dialect.Overall, this paper makes some researches on the selective Tongren dialect.Based on the large amount of linguistic data,the author try to describe,analyze,compare and summarize the grammatical phenomenon.The author hope the research can let everybody know the general picture of the Tongren dialect grammar and provide some reference for the research of Tongren dialect and also the Chinese grammar system.
