This article is a study of Shi Lu paintings, emphasis in the pen and ink language and aesthetic imagery.Shi Lu in style, OuGan one speaks of the "pen and ink is the language of ICONS temperament style, most avoid is insincerity, heartless. Each has its own language, to express thinking and feeling, why not make a naked as a language teacher, honest man be glib!" Chinese paintings by ink, directly is the heart and human feelings, the character of the mark, this is the most important quality of pen and ink. Shi Lu study of pen and ink problem not only inherited the essence of traditional Chinese painting ink performance, also constantly create new pen and ink language forms.Image comes from life and higher than life, is the painter to express his insight of life and to nature, is the sublimation of the thoughts and feelings and condensation. Image compared with object, the biggest characteristic is that is saturated with artists tend to personal feelings. Therefore, Shi Lu said:"sentiment is to raise life of gold", "love will find a way, love is loyal, can be simply and ghosts and gods". Shi Lu captures the image of fundamental, nowhere is not in his paintings full of sincere, reflects his will, his spirit, his perseverance."With pen and ink are thought to live, without pen and ink were thought dead. Painting is my thought is I, the ink painting into my thoughts are ACTS of dead people and natural ink slaves." Carrying the ink painter’s thoughts and feelings, rather than simply imitate, draw lessons from the ancients, knowledge of self is derived from life and higher than life, is the carrier of aesthetic imagery. Shi Lu says the pen and ink and image performance are inseparable. Taking Shi Lu artistic expression into a staging point, put Shi Lu adventure of Chinese painting is divided into early, middle and late stages.
