“Yunxi Youyi” is a note novel which is written by Fan Shu who were in late Tang Dynasty. This novel mainly recorded poetry responsory and funny anecdotes of the poet in Tang Dynasty. Tang was an aera of prosperity in policy, economy, and culture. At the same time, polyphony of Chinese vocabulary of which the linked polysyllabic word is an important form also expanded extremely in Han. This paper researched the linked polysyllabic words which are in Yunxi Youyi from linguistic from statistical and qualitative and quantitative analyze,to reveal the rule of linked polysyllabic words of late Tang Dynasty. We can provide some information for the study of the linked polysyllabic words from the formation and structural features.The main contents are as follows:The first part, introduction of Yunxiyouyi and Fan Shu, research status, significance of the topic selection, research methods, the selection of version, the criteria and the measurement of the words.The second part analyzes the composition of the Linked words terming from the semantic, part of speech and word order. Among them, at the semantics aspect, we make a classification research from morpheme meaning relations-the same, similar or the contrary morpheme. At the part of speech aspect, we make a classification by researching on nouns, verbs, adjectives and so on. At the word order aspect, we count to the linked polysyllabic according to the Hanziguyin Manual written by Guo Xiliang.The third part inspects the new words, new meaning and synonym from synchronic and diachronic study, the morpheme semantic relations, then analyze the characteristic of the linked polysyllabic in Yunxi Youyi.Paper’s on linked words in “Yunxi Youyi”, tries to reveal the characteristics of composition inorder to facilitate the researchers.
